You are never too small to make a difference: Nuno Silva

Tell us about the impact your work has had on so many people's lives. Don't be modest! Give us an example of a story that marked you because you had direct intervention before and after an organization and what positive impact resulted from that.

One of the projects I remember is an industry in the metalworking sector, which was struggling to modernize its equipment and expand production capacity. The company in question is family-owned and although they have a high demand for their products, outdated technology was limiting efficiency and competitiveness, and the company didn't have enough capital to invest in modernization.

By analyzing the scenario, we identified that the company had enormous potential to benefit from EU funds available under the Portugal 2020 program. Together with the company, we developed a detailed investment plan, aligned with the criteria required for the incentives. We helped to structure the project, prepare the application and define a financial timeline that would guarantee successful implementation. In addition, we created a strategy to ensure financial sustainability during the project's implementation period.

The application was approved and the company secured significant funding. With the new equipment acquired and the introduction of automation technologies, productivity has increased considerably. In addition, the company has expanded its presence on the international market, managing to enter new countries and increase exports. This growth also led to the creation of several new jobs.

This case was a clear example of the impact that good financial guidance can have. Not only did we help the company achieve its growth objectives, but we also contributed directly to the economic development of the region. Seeing the transformation of a company and the positive impact on the community is undoubtedly one of the greatest rewards of our work.

What do you love most about your job?

What I'm most passionate about in my work is having the opportunity to be an agent of transformation. It's very rewarding to see how, through strategic and structured financial planning, we can help companies overcome challenges, grow and reach their true potential.

What really inspires me is knowing that our work goes far beyond numbers. It's about helping companies realize their dreams, grow, create new job opportunities and, often, contribute to the economic growth of a region.

What's more, I love the diversity of this job. No day is the same as the next, and each project brings new challenges. It can range from helping an industry apply for EU funds, or supporting startups to structure their business plan, or even participating in M&A processes.

Our role allows us to constantly learn and grow alongside our clients. It is this direct impact and the ability to make a difference that makes this work so exciting.
